UX research, problem solving, ideation and design
Google Chrome's tab management system is currently basic and users have reported frustrations with managing their tabs to revisit at at later date. The Bookmarks system does not have the functionality users require.
Research was conducted into the current system and multiple plugins.
Personas and empathy maps were created to help further define the problem.
Ideation of possible solutions were explored and refined.
Mock ups of the new Slabs Tab management system were created and user feedback gathered.
The new Slabs tab management system allows users to save groups of tabs, revisit and edit tab groups easily. It also users to preview multiple slabs to easily compare individual tabs.
